The Magic of Auras!

Our Continuing class at Southwest Regional recently had a lesson focused on creating a sampler tile with different ways to use auras as an embellishment. Here's my demo tile, followed by a "recipe" that we followed to create it.


Aura Sampler tile
  • No corner dots, border
  • Pick up your pencil. Make a random string or letter or shape in the center, about ⅙ of your tile.
  • Trace it in pen. Aura the shape 3 times.
  • Crescent Moon all around the shape on the outside. Aura 3 times.
  • Thin aura
  • Wide aura. Fill with Knightsbridge.
  • Thin aura.
  • Bunzo / striped aura.
  • Thin aura.
  • Printemps aura on one side. Perf aura on other side.
  • Thin aura.
  • Pokeleaf aura on one side. Bumper aura and bumpy aura on other side.
  • Thin aura all around.
  • Beveled aura with thin border.
  • Mooka inside the central shape. Aura the Mooka, inside and out and fill with lines, orbs or ink.
