Grief and the Art of Zentangle Workshop
Wednesday, September 14, 2016
6:30-8 pm

The Zentangle® method is an easy and relaxing art form that many have found helpful when dealing with the stress of grief.

Jennifer Sparrow, a certified Zentangle teacher, will teach you the steps to the Zentangle method and assist you in discovering that you don't have to be a trained artist to create beautiful art. Jennifer and Peggy Kinney, grief counselor with Duke HomeCare and Hospice, will guide you through this meditative process.

Here are some thoughts we've heard from grieving people who have discovered the benefits of Zentangle:

  • "Zentangle is centering and soothing."
  • "Other things took too much focus."
  • "While doing Zentangle I found that I wasn't checking out, I was checking in."
  • "It helped me find a way to peace when everything around me was in chaos.
This workshop will be held on Wednesday, September 14, 2016, from 6:30-8 pm at the Unicorn Bereavement Center, a two-story brick farmhouse in Hillsborough at 1001 Corporate Drive. Space is limited so please call Peggy Kinney at 919-307-0176 to reserve a spot. The workshop is free. You may purchase materials for $5 that will include everything you need for Zentangling.
