The Diva's Weekly Challenge #276

The lovely Laura challenged us to create a tile from something moving. I'm moving, in one week! Yikes! I  decided that even though my supplies are in boxes, (somewhere, I hope!) I had to do this! I don't really have time to ride around on a bus, or have Lar chauffeur me around, but I do have my grandfather's rocking chair to sit in! So, while I was tangling, I was rocking, ever so gently. Since my tiles are packed away (somewhere, I hope!), I used some elephant poop paper that I had in my purse. It doesn't like to be shaded with pencil, so I used some hatching instead. All in all, a very relaxing challenge!

Thank you for all your beautiful comments on peace last week. You speak and draw with such power and strength--"The pen is mightier than the sword." And thanks also for your well wishes for our move.  Your kindness gives me peace.
Thanks for stopping by! Hope to see you next week!

  2. Good choice of tangles. I had a rocking chair once - one of those gliding ones. I miss it.

  3. This is a beautiful tile...such beautiful linework! But I have to ask...elephant poop paper? Looks like a beautiful paper. I tend to love all kinds of unique papers, just haven't seen this one. Anyway, I love that you used a rocking chair for motion. I forgot that I have my grandfather's rocking chair in storage...he built it for grandma when they had their first baby. Very nicely done!
