This week it seems that I am surrounded by new and challenging tangles! This afternoon, rather than enjoying the great outdoors (and mosquitos--already!), I took my sketchbook and had a go at Namody, by Simone Menzel, and Rautyflex, by Kathrin Bendel. I managed to stay focused for both! (I am convinced that I "caught" ADD from teaching middle school for 20 + years!!! But I digress...)
I'm not quite ready to show my Namody efforts, but here's my Diva #258. I really messed up my first tile when I made the diagonals go the wrong way, but once I realized my mistake--and this was indeed a mistake, not an oops or an experiment!--I started a new tile and...voilĂ !
I liked the bold op art look of Buttercup and Rautyflex, and left them unshaded. Pokeroot and Pokeleaf satisfied my organic fix.
Thanks so much for stopping by, and for sharing this common passion that is Zentangle! Have a wonderful week!
You Got It! And in a great way too!!
ReplyDeleteVery lovely! I had great difficulty with this one until I put in a basic grid, then in my mind I could see it. Nice tile.
ReplyDeleteYou got Rautyflex down pat! I went through two tiles before I grabbed some regular paper and tried to figure out what I was supposed to be doing. Then, I used a tile. This one does take some thinking though.
ReplyDeleteI like Pokeroot and -leaf in your tile!!!
ReplyDeleteI like how depending upon what you focus on in your tile, different planes appear to shift ... closer or further away. Very interesting. Love the pop of color too.
ReplyDeleteGreat tile! Love that little pop of hot pink.
ReplyDeleteGreat tile, Jennifer!
ReplyDeleteVery nice variation of Rautyflex! and the little pink spots in Buttercup are so sweet, did you know that I love that?
Great tile, I really like your combination of patterns!
ReplyDeleteMy diagonals went the 'wrong' way too! It took a while to sort this one out--and I'm so glad I did! It is a fun tangle.
ReplyDeleteWonderful tile with that touch of pink!
ReplyDeleteThe grey pen really accents the graphic lines of your tile. Nice work.
